Last weekend, Bugsy and I were heading out into the extreme NYC heat to see Penn & Teller, so I wanted something fun and night-appropriate, but not overdone.

To keep things fun and flirty, I paired my black t-strap crop with my favorite white textured skater mini.  Because we were walking to the theater, I couldn’t wear heels and instead opted for a pair of super comfy lace-up gladiator sandals (something about strappies just = instant cuteness. I bought these pretty babies while on an adventure with MM in Athens two years ago).  To accessorize, I put on a wrist-full of red beaded gypsy-chic bracelets and tucked in the strap of my favorite leather saddle bag to create a clutch.

Style tip 1:  To jazz up an outfit of very basic colors, wear a brightly colored accessory.  I opted for a stack of red bracelets to make my black and white outfit more fun.

Style tip 2:  Almost any small to midsize bag can be made to look sleeker by tucking in the strap and making it into a clutch.
