Nothing makes me happier than shedding tights – they rarely make the outfit better and invariably get snagged. So, as the weather warmed up this past week, I couldn’t wait to be bare legged in the cutest PINKO set that combines some of my favorite trends.
For a post-work dinner with Sis, I wanted to keep the look relatively business casual with an oversized knit top and pencil skirt. Although the pullover and skirt are not sold as a set, various pieces from PINKO’s Spring/Summer collection feature a multicolor bold athleisure stripe. The slouchy knit honeycomb pullover with striped detailing is a modern take on college/tennis prep style and the red and blue lace overlay pencil skirt with striped sides is pure athleisure perfection – combining unexpected textiles and bold colors to create a truly unique piece. I know, you’re suspicious of this overall silhouette, but I promise that a slouchy knit top and bias cut skirt is not only a streetstyle favorite, but it will work for both your weekend and work wardrobe (especially because it’s super forgiving after a large meal 😉 ). I paired the set with a vintage nude Jimmy Choo padlock bag and nude suede strappy Aquazurra heels. Finally, for something a little unexpected, I wore large gold hoop earrings and extreme cat eye sunglasses (if you’re like me, you won’t spend a few hundred dollars on quickly passing fads, so I passed on the original almost $500 version by Celine and picked up my pair for under $10 on Amazon!)
