Sophisticated brunches call for sophisticated brunch outfits.
So when plans were made for an upscale gals brunch, I put together a look with some of my favorite classic pieces and a few new ones that have been waiting anxiously for their Spring debut! For me, there’s nothing more feminine or classic than a cami and body-con skirt, so when I saw Zara’s knit tank and pencil skirt set in Charcoal, I had to nab it immediately (and I’d be lying if I didn’t reveal that visions of sipping vino at a Milanese piazza in this set didn’t motivate the buy – 3 months ’til Italia!). Because there’s still a little chill in the air, I threw on an oversized double-breasted trench coat (I love trenches in the Spring/Fall and I don’t just reserve them for rainy days). For a little edge, I wore strappy black suede block heel sandals. Finally, I kept accessories refined and tailored with medium thick gold hoops (so vintage Sophia Loren), vintage Ferragamo envelope clutch (that I found at the Manhattan Vintage Show last year) and Prada Cat-Eye Sunglasses.
Are we sensing a theme here? Ciao Italia!
