Fashion month has confirmed that the monochromatic outfit trend is still going strong (#yes!). From streetstyle to the runways – from neutrals to ultra-brights – “all (fill in your favorite color)” looks were everywhere this season.
Monochromatic outfits are exactly what they sound like – wearing a full look composed of one color/hue and I’ve been loving the trend for some time now. So, for one of my busiest days this past fashion week, I went with a bold monochromatic look that I knew would made a statement.
First, I had to choose a color and opted for RED. To create a truly head-to-toe all red look, I went with a long, deep red, sleeveless, front slit bodycon dress with mock neck from Solace London (not for the fashion faint of heart) that I paired with a ruby red, oversized fit, plush wool coat by Trina Turk. For a further statement and to take advantage of the dress’ high front slit, I wore python over-the-knee boots. Finally, for accessories, I opted for classics – a vintage Fendi hobo bag, black cat eyed Saint Laurent sunglasses and gold open loop earrings from Mango.

A monochromatic look composed of neutrals or brights is always bold.

For accessories, opt for neutrals like black cat eye sunglasses and black leather gloves. 
A look can only be enhanced by vintage Fendi. 
The oversized silhouette of the coat offers a nice balance to the bodycon dress.

For visual interest and depth, don’t worry about the hues matching perfectly.
