This weekend, I couldn’t wait to go to the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show with fellow blogger and total sweetheart, @FashionRoll. Anyone who knows me knows that I A-D-O-R-E vintage costume jewelry and accessories. So, I was really looking forward to nabbing a few classic pieces to add to my ever-growing vintage collection – perhaps another pair of Chanel clip-ons, a short fur or a vintage Gucci belt (SWOOOOOON).
For the event, I wanted to wear something neutral and easy because I knew I’d be trying a million things in a crowded space, and needed a good clean canvas for accessories and jackets. But, I had to be fashionable – after all, we would be meeting other industry types, taking pics, etc. etc. Given the chilly temps, I went with the cutest chunky cable crop sweater with mock neck that I paired with my favorite black leather pants. To kick up the style factor, I wore this season’s go-to boot, black and white python booties that Sis bought me for my birthday this year. For a vintage vibe, I threw on the one coat that always make me feel like a star, a classic black belted wool coat with large fox collar and a pair of antique oversized gold button earrings that I found in the depths of Pike Place Market on our last trip to Seattle. Finally, I carried a large hobo black leather bag with plenty of space for purchases.
