A few weeks ago, MM and I got together to work on her latest photography project – to focus on environmental portraits and the use of natural light. I loved the concept and quickly volunteered, knowing the photos from our shoot would be the perfect way to show you how I spend most Sundays at Home.
I’m often asked – “How do you find the time?” The simple answer is – I devote my Sundays to blogging (which unfortunately is not nearly enough). No matter how late the Saturday night, I rise early on Sunday mornings to scour the internet, Instagram, Pinterest and magazines for inspiration over coffee, followed by editing photos from earlier shoots, and finally sitting down to write (all of which is interrupted with periods of procrastination and writer’s block). And the reality is, sitting down to blog once a week is not all that is required – Sundays are always preceded by photoshoots, daily social media posts, answering and filtering through potential sponsor emails and simply living the most interesting and fulfilling life I can. Thankfully, being creative – whether through styling, makeup, cooking or crocheting – for me, is the ultimate stress relief.
In the end, despite an intense day job and my constant struggle with balancing time to stay and be creative, I’m happy that I embarked on this little project some time ago and am still excited to see where this might take me. Thanks for being supportive all along and a special thank you to my dear MM for capturing these beautiful photos.
