Suit & Stripes: PINKO Blue Crepe Athleisure Suit, Navy Turtleneck, Prada Havana Cat Eye Sunglasses, Blue Prada Camera Bag and Christian Louboutin Breche 100 Black Patent Pumps

For a gal who wears a suit almost everyday, anything that refreshes what is often tired, predictable and personality-free is very welcome (and I’m not just talking about wearing your suit with a “fun” top or new set of pearls).  Luckily for me, suits are totally on trend – from bold and jewel toned to checked or patterned to oversized and slouchy.

So, for my first NYFW look, I wanted to kick off the week in the ultimate power suit.  After all, NYFW is an opportunity to make a statement, get noticed and be taken seriously.  To get the look, I turned to one of my favorite power suit purveyors – PINKO – for a gorgeous blue crepe suit from their Spring/Summer 2018 Collection. The jacket is single breasted with narrow lapels, deep inverted V-shaped back slit with contrasting athletic side stripes. The trousers feature the same contrasting athletic side stripes with an elasticized waist. For my petite frame, this suit does all the right stuff – elongating with bold side stripes and injecting girliness with the high back slit (oh how I love Italian tailoring). To keep the look clean and modern, I wore a navy blue knit turtleneck. To play up the gorgeous blue tone of the suit, I opted for my blue Prada Camera Bag.  Finally, I accessorized with classic pieces – Prada Havana Cat Eye Sunglasses, Chanel Clip-On Button Earrings and Christian Louboutin Breche 100 Black Patent Pumps.
