It’s officially Spring and I couldn’t be happier! Cheers to longer days and warmer temps, but during these early days of Spring, I often find my wardrobe in a place of transition.
In an effort to prolong my beloved winter wear and to accommodate fluctuating temps, I’ve been putting together looks that pair cold with warm weather pieces. So, for a recent night out with friends, I reached into the knits section of my wardrobe for my favorite chunky beige sweater with voluminous sleeves. I know, you don’t often think of an oversized sweater as an evening look, but paired with my favorite cafe colored sateen wide leg trousers (great for any season and so elongating for us petite girls), black strappy rhinestone heels (yes, the ones you would normally wear with a cocktail dress or gown) and long gold snake chain earrings, I was ready for a night out. Finally, to complete the look, I carried my mini black prada satchel.
Style Tip: For these early Spring days, consider pairing your favorite sweater with a mini skirt, trouser shorts or a great pair of jeans and cute sandals. Who said Spring can’t be sweater weather?
Create a more interesting monochromatic look by mixing textures like knits and satin. Love the voluminous sleeves on this sweater. High shine trousers lend themselves to day or night. Love creating a look that transitions from day to night with ease. Wide leg trousers are great for creating length. Complimenting the browns with a little black. French tuck to create a waistline. Strut in my step. Welcoming Spring with rhinestone sandals. Mixing textures to create dimension. Mini prada satchel is perfect for any look. Transitioning to Spring with the help of my favorite sweater. Love the luxe fabric of these all season trousers. Metal frame sunglasses from MVMT keep the look sleek. Hooray for Spring!
