Pant suit season is back and this lady loves serving up some female power vibes.
If there is any trend to try this Fall, it’s definitely the pantsuit…and we’re not talking about those dowdy ones that your state legislators or firm partners have been sporting since the mid-90’s without update or tailoring, but POWER PANTSUITS in BOLD COLORS (RED, BLUE, LAVENDAR, YELLOW), PATTERNS (CHECKED, STRIPED) OR BOTH. Whether you want to try something with some ’80/’90’s inspo, like a brightly colored/slightly oversized pantsuit or something more streamlined and contemporary, the power suit is officially back and with a little more color and character.
For one of my first full days of NYFW, I couldn’t wait to wear a fun and feminine bright blue double breasted pantsuit from ASOS. Its double breasted silhouette slimmed while adding some visual interest and the high-waisted, tapered leg trousers created extra length and height (and what petite gal doesn’t love that?!). To keep the look from appearing too professional or workish, I wore the suit without a top, but secured the neckline with a pin. To create a sexier look, leave the jacket unbuttoned or unpinned and try pairing the suit with a delicate lace bra or lace/sheer bodysuit worthy to be seen. For accessories, I opted for classic pieces, the most gorgeous two-tone Omega Deville Prestige watch, Prada mini saffiano leather satchel, and YSL cat eye sunglasses. Finally, for shoes, I wore a pair of bone colored single strap Schutz heels.
