It’s hard to believe its already been a month since we were living it up in Seattle. I wasn’t sure what to expect before going (except that my Starbucks fanaticism would bring me to the original and I couldn’t leave without seeing the Chihuly exhibit), but I quickly fell in love – amazing food, laid back vibes and of course, Pike Place Market (that wondrous place).
On our first morning in the city, we headed out super early to Pike Place Market (the first of many visits) to catch the shops and stalls as they opened, score a delectable breakfast and beat the selfie-stick armed crowds at the original Starbucks. We had a full, and I mean FULL, day of activities planned, and I knew I had to wear something that could transition from morning to evening, but still be conducive to a lot of walking (after all, there’s no better way to see and experience a new city then by foot). So, for our day of fun, I opted for an appropriately laid back boho long sleeved floral tunic with tassel details and paired it with my go-to jacket this fall, a brown suede motorcycle jacket. To ensure ample space for small purchases along the way, I used a black leather bucket bag. And finally, I wore my new favorite sneaks, a pair of white patent leather snake embossed pumas.
Here’s a peek into the Main Arcade of Pike Place Market. Below the Main Arcade are five levels of shops, selling housewares and clothing to novelties and antiques. It would take days to explore this place in its entirety, and interestingly, the lower you go, the weirder things get – from the shop owners to the items being sold.
I love this freaking place!
