Mod Black: Plunging V-Neck Long Sleeve Mini Dress, Fur Collar Wool Trench Coat, Suede Stacked Heel Ankle Boots and Chanel Flap Bag

For DT’s birthday festivities, we were heading to Bagatelle for their infamous (champagne showering, sparkler lighting, superman flying) party brunch and anyone who has ever been knows this is no regular brunch and the outfits better be on point.

If you’ve never been to a party brunch in NYC, Bagatelle’s brunch is still my favorite.  Don’t go for food, but for copious drinks; and, if you  don’t intend to spend more time dancing with the curtains drawn than chatting with your friends, this is not the place for you.  It’s been awhile since the days when  MM, HT, DT and I used to venture to Bagatelle brunch almost every weekend (I’m still not sure how our wallets or livers survived that glorious period), so I was quite pleased when DT suggested it for her birthday this year.  After all, we have our whole lives to have fancy civilized dinners, right?

To be appropriately brunch party clad, I knew I had to wear something more night than day inspired and opted for a mod long sleeve plunging v-neck mini dress (sufficiently covered for the wintry weather, but sexy enough to still exude the party vibe), paired it with suede stacked heel ankle boots and topped with my favorite Andrew Marc fox collar wool trench coat and Chanel classic quilted flap bag .  To keep things fun and edgyI wore the most amazing antique gold mesh oversized earrings, black square straight sunglasses, and completed the look with a deep berry lip.
