Holiday Season means Holiday Parties and a girl should always be prepared with a few pretty and festive options. But a word of caution, what may be appropriate for the your glitzy friends gathering won’t be at your office holiday party. So, here’s a fun option I recently wore to an engagement party that would be perfect for your next stylish holiday soiree with friends.

A few weeks ago, Bugsy and I were off to celebrate J + S’s recent engagement. With the holidays upon us, I knew my new green lace two-piece coordinate crop top and skirt would be perfect for the occasion at an adorable restaurant in the West Village. The delicate scalloped edge and lace details made the look just dressy enough for a celebration of this magnitude, but the crop top gave this otherwise classic pencil silhouette a little modern update. In order to keep the focus on the top/skirt, I paired it with simpler pieces – oversized gold dome earrings (that I purchased at Pike Place Market in Seattle), a gold and black watch, oversized black cat eye sunglasses and grey suede point toe pumps. Finally, to add a little visual interest and edge, I opted for two unconventional pairings – a black satin bomber (a must for your wardrobe this season) and a mini blue camera bag.
