Lewiston New York Wedding

This past weekend, I had the honor of not only being a guest at VM and PJM’s nuptials in beautiful Lewiston, New York, but was asked to do the bride and bridal party’s makeup. When I look back on my own wedding day, the “getting ready process,” was one of the most special parts of the day and I was thrilled to be a part of VM’s.

To compliment VM and PJM’s summer-styled wedding along the picturesque Niagara River at Water Street Landing, I wanted everyone in the bridal party to look as bright and fresh as the surroundings.

For the bride, I opted for a glowy, natural and bright-eyed look. I started with a base of Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation, followed by Bobbi Brown Foundation Sticks for more focused coverage, Maybelline Master Concealer, wherever necessary to hide blemishes and dark spots, and Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit in Light to Medium to contour. On her eyes, I used a combination of colors to contour and highlight from the Kat Von D Chrysalis Palette and the Urban Decay Naked3 Palette, lined the top of her eyes with Urban Decay’s 24/7 Waterproof Liner, lined the bottom of her eyes with Sephora Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner in Classic Black, and finished with a line of dense lashes. For her eyebrows, I filled her naturally beautiful brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow in Ash Brown. And lastly, on the lips I used the MAC Prep + Prime Lip, MAC Creemsheen Lipstick in Koi Coral and followed with a touch of Marc Jacobs Lip Vinyl in Overprotected. Because VM and her maid of honor have similar coloration, I used largely the same products for both. Here are their before and after photos. Aren’t these sisters just so pretty?

For the moms, who are both fair, I used primarily the same foundation and concealer products as I mentioned above, but in lighter shades. On the eyes, I kept the lids light with shimmery pink/peach toned shades from the Urban Decay Naked3 Palette and contoured with Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow in Espresso, lined the eyes with Urban Decay Glide-On Eye Pencil in Matte Deep Brown, and finished with a light line of lashes. On the lips, I knew both moms could carry a brighter lip and used Blurred Lines Smooth Fill Gel-Crème Lipstick in Ruby Slippers on the Mother of the Bride and Love on the Mother of the Groom.
