Ever since traveling restrictions were lessened in 2015, I’ve been dreaming about visiting Cuba. In fact, I spent a sizeable chunk of last week furiously searching for Airbnbs in Havana until I resolved that I couldn’t take any chances with Zika. So, in an effort to scratch my Havana itch, I insisted we grab dinner at our favorite Cuban place in the West Village (very appropriately named Cuba, this little gem not only makes some of the best mojitos, but they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays). Thankfully, Bugsy happily agreed.
For our little Cuban dinner date night, I brought out my best Havana inspired look. Earlier this summer, I picked up a super cute palm print off the shoulder crop top (what could be more tropical?) that I paired with my favorite high-waisted white wide leg crop trousers (that I’ve been wearing on repeat since last Spring) and white v-cut kitten heel mules (that make every outfit just a little cooler). For accessories, I wanted to do something bold and wore a gold Gucci soho disco bag, thick gold cuff, layered a few gold bangles, gold aviators with the coolest orange lenses and finally a pair of gold and orange drop earrings.
