It’s officially gala season in New York City and who doesn’t love getting fancy for a cause.
For a recent hospital gala (work requires I attend a few each season) that did not require black tie attire, I wore the most gorgeous emerald green look. Jewel tones are always a great choice for Fall evening events, but green, in all of its shades, is definitely a trend color this season.
Luckily, during Lulu’s NYFW party, I picked up the most beautiful emerald green knot front midi dress that I knew would be perfect for upcoming Fall weddings and galas. Delicately draped with a relaxed silhouette and high slit midi skirt, the dress is sexy without being overly so, especially for work related events. For a little coverage, I draped the most exquisite emerald green crepe tuxedo blazer with velvet lapels from PINKO. To complete the look, I boldly decided to go with accessories, bag and shoes that were a little unexpected for cocktail attire and focused on heavily gold pieces – vintage long mariner (puff) chain, Gucci padlock supreme bag, gold, black and pearl gothic cross earrings and gold stacked heel pumps. For a black tie or black tie optional event, I would have opted for a crystal/rhinestone clutch, rhinestone statement accessories and a pair of strappy heels.
