Every wardrobe needs an item that is truly unique – one you can’t wait to wear over and over again – one you know will elevate any outfit.
A few months ago, when I first started working with Italian brand, Pinko, I picked up the most gorgeous pencil skirt with bold tropical floral print and a rainbow waistband – and I wear it whenever I know I need to make a statement. So, for Day 3 of NYFW at the Custo Barcelona show, I knew the skirt would be perfect for creating a bold and interesting look. You might be hesitant to wear a tropical floral during the fall/winter months, but the deep, saturated hues of this mostly black neoprene skirt really lends itself to all-weather wear. To ensure the look was fall appropriate, I paired the skirt with a black cold shoulder top with ruffle details. And, for a little interesting juxtaposition and to give the look a little edge, I opted for a black satin bomber and Christian Louboutin zappa suede spiked heels. Finally, for accessories, I wore my white Pinko Love Bag, Chanel CC vintage clip-ons, and black, white and gold enamel ring.
