Admittedly, the popularity of florals in the Spring and Summer months is not a new concept, but the most recent influx of floral prints are bolder and brighter or on silhouettes you wouldn’t normally expect. Recently, I discovered Italian contemporary fashion brand PINKO and I am in LOVE. There’s just something about Italian design that compliments a woman’s figure, and it’s no surprise that they’re doing floral pieces just right.
For a recent Sunday brunch with the girls in the West Village, I couldn’t wait to wear my new floral set from PINKO. The bold toucan and floral print cropped top pairs perfectly with the matching high-waisted pencil skirt, but either of these pieces can be worn apart, especially if you’re worried about overloading on the print. For a flirtier and more casual look, I wore the top untucked, paired it with my new summer staple bag, a round rattan basket bag (if you haven’t seen these gorgeous handmade basket bags around yet, you will and I haven’t stopped wearing mine since it arrived last week from Indonesia...swooooooooon), and my favorite suede platform sandals. Finally, for accessories, I loaded up on stackable rings, Miansai cuff and a classic pair of cat eye sunglasses.
