Two days until its officially Spring and I couldn’t be more excited! As much as I love interesting layers or a cozy teddy coat, I’m ready for Spring-worthy looks and bare legs. For brunch with the girls in the West Village, I opted for a Spring transitional look – with just enough layers to keep out the chill, but balanced with frills and white to signal the coming of a new season.
To create an edgy black and white look, I wore the daintiest embroidered eyelet white button down shirt with ruffle collar and cuffs with a pair of black wide leg overalls with oversized silver buttons and ruffle detail. To keep the look from being too cutesy (remember, it’s all about balance), I draped my favorite black leather biker jacket (this jacket was an incredible investment – soft, comfortable and makes every outfit instantly cooler). For contrast and because I am absolutely obsessed with the white leather shoe/boot trend, I wore white leather kitten heel slingbacks. Finally, for accessories, I opted for classics – black cat-eye sunglasses, mother of pearl clip-on earrings and nude Jimmy Choo padlock mini bag.
